Physical and mental, in one visit.

A chronic condition rarely stays physical. IBS, migraines, autoimmune disease, chronic pain, interstitial cystitis, thyroid disorders. They affect mood, sleep, work, relationships.

Those two sides usually get seen in separate appointments, often by separate clinicians. HealMaze takes them in one, with a family physician who has time for both.

What a HealMaze visit includes

Family-medicine care built around chronic illness and its impact.

01

Chronic illness consultations

Longer virtual visits with a family physician. Enough time to go through history, current symptoms, and where you want to focus.

02

Mental-health care alongside chronic illness

Anxiety, low mood, and burnout that show up with long-term conditions, treated in the same visit within family-medicine scope.

03

Medication review and management

A look at what you're taking, how it's working, and side effects. Prescriptions and adjustments when appropriate.

04

Symptom and flare plans

Written plans for flares, triggers, and everyday functioning. Follow-ups scheduled so nothing stalls between visits.

05

Referrals and coordination

Referrals to specialists, allied health, and mental-health services. We follow up on them.

06

Covered by Alberta Health Care

Eligible physician visits are billed to AHCIP. Uninsured services may have a fee, which we quote before your visit.

Conditions we support

Our family physicians support adults living with chronic conditions, including those experiencing illness-related anxiety, low mood, and difficulties with day-to-day functioning. Care is provided within the scope of family medicine, with referrals when specialized assessment or treatment is needed.

Still looking for answers about ongoing symptoms? You don't need an established diagnosis to book an assessment.

How it works

1

Book a visit

Choose a time that works for you and share what's going on before we meet.

2

Virtual intake

Meet your physician online. Bring your questions, history, and priorities.

3

Get a care plan

Leave with a care plan outlining your next steps, which may include symptom management, medication changes, mental-health support, or referrals, depending on your needs.

4

Follow up

Book follow-up appointments as clinically appropriate to review your progress, adjust your care plan, and address ongoing concerns.

Alongside your existing care, not instead of it.

We work with your existing family physician and specialists. If an in-person exam, imaging, or a procedure is what's needed, your HealMaze physician will help arrange it.
